Composition
Each uncoated tablet contains
Manjista (Rubia cordifolia) 56 mg
Sounf (Foeniculum vulgare) 31 mg
Chirata (Swertia chirata) 79 mg
Bhangra (Eclipta alba) 34 mg
Senna Extract (Cassia angustifolia) 17 mg
Nagakesara (Mesua ferrea) 9 mg
Kaiphal (Myrica nagi) 5 mg
Balaharde (Terminalia chebula) 7 mg
Dhania (Coriandrum sativum) 18 mg
Guggul (Balsamodendron mukul) 17 mg
Haldi (Curcuma longa) 17 mg
Sunth (Zingiber officinale) 4 mg
Ajwan (Ptychotis ajowan) 6 mg
Aunla (Emblica officinalis) 2 mg
Pippli (Piper longum) 2 mg
Jeera (Cuminum cyminum) 2 mg
Indications:
Hepatic disorders, indigestion, flatulent dyspepsia, loss of appetite, constipation, catarrhal jaundice, disorders of bile flow, early cirrhosis of liver. Hepatic damage due to antibiotics, oral contraceptives or other drugs.
Dosage
A 3 week course of treatment is suggested as follows.
Adults: In the first week, 2 to 3 tablets before meals. In 2nd and 3rd week, 1 tablet before principal meals thrice daily.
Children: Tablets: Half the adult dose.
Side-effects: Nil
Additional Information
For best results, Herbitars has to be taken with warm water, 30 minutes before a meal. Adequate water should be taken. In the treatment of jaundice it is best given with Kynotomine. For dyspepsia it is best given with Magnine. It can also be given with Vitesson for biliousness, nausea, vomiting.
