Product Description

Combination of well-known antacids with Belladonna for the treatment of peptic ulcers and hyperacidity.

Composition

• Magnesium Trisilicate I.P. – 250 mg
• Dried Aluminium Hydroxide Gel I.P. – 125 mg
• Extract Belladonna Dry I.P. – 5 mg

Pharmacology

Antacids are widely used for relieving symptoms of peptic ulcer and hyperacidity. In peptic ulcer patients, excess stomach acid contributes to pain and delays healing. Effective antacids should reduce gastric acidity and maintain their effect over a prolonged period.

Magnesium Trisilicate and Aluminium Hydroxide both provide prolonged acid-neutralising action and are considered highly satisfactory antacids. These salts are not absorbed and therefore produce no systemic effects.

Extract Belladonna blocks vagal stimulation, reduces acid secretion, and relieves pain by alleviating spasm.

Indications

• Peptic ulcer
• Hyperacidity
• Acid dyspepsia

Dosage

Adults: 2 tablets, chewed and swallowed, 15–30 minutes before or after food.
If pain occurs between meals, suck 1 or 2 tablets.

Children: 1 tablet.

Box of 50 blister strips of 10 tablets each.
HDPE jar of 500 tablets.
