Product Description

A potent combination of well-known drugs for antifungal, antibacterial, and parasitic skin diseases, formulated for local application.

Composition

• Benzoic Acid I.P. – 2 g
• Salicylic Acid I.P. – 4 g
• Ichthammol I.P. 1966 – 8 g
• Dithranol I.P. – 0.22 g
• Sublimed Sulphur I.P. 1966 – 2.29 g
• Paraffin Base – q.s.

Indications

• Benzoic acid, Salicylic acid, and Dithranol are effective in fungal skin infections and chronic dermatoses such as psoriasis
• Ichthammol provides bacteriostatic action and is used in chronic skin diseases
• Sulphur acts as a mild antiseptic and parasiticide, useful in scabies, ringworm, and acne
• Skinment is mainly indicated for ringworm, scabies, eczema, and psoriasis

Dosage

Rub gently over the affected area at night and wash in the morning.
For delicate skin, mix with an equal part of any edible vegetable oil.
Two applications may be needed in hyper-keratotic conditions of the feet and hands, and the area may be covered with a light dressing.
Avoid application near the eyes.
