Description
Acne is a skin disease caused by changes in the pilo-sebaceous units of a person. It usually strikes at the age of adolescence, but rarely continues up till adulthood. Commonly referred to as pimples, blemishes, spots and zits, acne lesions generally occur on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and upper arms. It may range from being in mild and moderate to severe form. While an increase in sex hormones, during puberty, is the leading cause for acne to occur, there are other factors as well that add to its occurrence.

Vitamin deficiency, Over-activity of sebaceous glands, Follicle fallout’ Bacterial infection, Foods like pizza, chocolate, and fried items, Taking too much stress, Cosmetics that are pore-clogging, Drugs misuse, Environmental irritants, such as polluted air and high humidity, Hard scrubbing of the skin. Change of hormonal levels in women, mainly around menses.

Greasy skin, Blackheads, Whiteheads, Red or yellow spots, Deep inflamed lesions, Scars, Pimples on the face and upper torso, Pustules, Cysts, Papules, Nodules

Cleansing your skin on a regular basis can help you to have natural and glowing skin. Use a light oil free cream and massage it gently into the skin. Take a small cotton ball and dampen it with some water. Wipe your skin with this and wash off with a mild face wash. Pat dry. Follow this skin care routine in the evening hours to get rid off the grime and pollution that can block the pores.
