Description
Medically known as tinea, ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin, The fungus feeds on keratin, which is found in the outer layer of skin, hair and nails. It thrives best on moist skin and those parts that are hidden from the light. Though the early symptoms of the disease are red, scaly patches or bumps, as time progresses, they look like a ring or a series of rings.
